Book Club Discussion

"March" by Geraldine Brooks, which tells the "Little Women" story from the father's perspective, is our book for our March discussion at Peggy VanHoveln's house at 2:00. Next month we'll be reading "New Augsburg" by Christa Petzold. Talk to Cherie or Peggy for more details or to get the year's reading list.

Attention 2025 high school graduates!
The Dr. R.E.W. Harrison II Memorial Scholarship is available to members in good standing of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod with preference given first to Christ the King Lutheran Church.
The scholarship is also available to qualified applicants from Trinity Lutheran Church, Dothan, and Prince of Peace, Ozark, and also non-Lutherans. The scholarship helps defray a portion of college expenses for the 2025-2026 college year. The amount is determined based on the interest earned by the endowment during the year.
The application must be of good moral character, display good citizenship, must have an interest in studying math and/or science or theology, and have completed an application with essay and letters of recommendation. Prior awardees may re-apply. To receive a copy of the application, email [email protected]
Submit the completed application by April 30, 2025, to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 208 E. Watts Street, Enterprise, AL 36330. You may also email a copy of the completed application and required materials to the above email address.
The scholarship will be awarded by May 18, 2025.
