The Dr. R.E.W. Harrison II Memorial Scholarship is available to members in good standing of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, with preference given to members of Christ the King Lutheran Church. The scholarship is also available to qualified applicants from Trinity - Dothan and Prince of Peace - Ozark, and also to non-Lutherans.

Bob Harrison was a 1968 graduate of Enterprise High School. He earned his B.S. degree in Philosophy from Birmingham Southern University, and his Ph.D. in Neurophysiology from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.  Dr. Harrison was conducting medical research at Northwestern University upon his untimely death. As a young man, Bob was active in the Boy Scouts and was president of the Enterprise High School Science Club. He often tutored fellow students in chemistry and enjoyed participating in the Youth Activities Team at Fort Rucker. This scholarship is established in his honor.

The scholarship helps defray a portion of college expenses for the 2026-2027 school year.  The applicant must be of good moral character; display good citizenship; have an interest in studying math, science, or theology; and have completed an application with essay and letters of recommendation below. Prior recipients are encouraged to apply.
